it may simply be that
I haven’t found my home
out there

but I fear that
I am simply lost
in here.

One reason I hate big parties:
I’m too aware
of all the heartbeats
in the room
and I like
to listen to hearts one
at
a
time.

Sometimes your reality
is all that matters
the fact that the stars
you gaze upon tonight
may have died light years ago
does not take away
from the beauty of your night
or the fact that
they give you direction
and light.

I see
so many beautiful women
who don’t see
their own beauty
it drives me crazy
there’s this particularly
frustrating case
whom I see
every single day
in the mirror.

Don’t orbit around your children
you are a world unto yourself
a Universe
with her own trajectory
and moons and dreams of her own.

Sometimes
